Perfume is the most emotional product in beauty - and the most detail-driven to manufacture. This guide walks through the real process of private-label perfume, from fragrance family to shelf-ready bottles.
Before packaging, decide your scent family: citrus, floral, woody, oriental, fresh or gourmand. Tell us the market and mood - a warm woody-amber for Middle East, a light citrus-fresh for Southeast Asia - and our perfumers build from our concentrated fragrance library or develop a custom accord.
| Type | Fragrance concentration | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Eau de Parfum (EDP) | 15-20% | Long-lasting, evening & premium |
| Eau de Toilette (EDT) | 8-15% | Daily wear, lighter |
| Eau de Cologne | 3-8% | Refreshing, casual |
The concentration drives both the scent strength and the unit cost - the fragrance oil is the single most expensive ingredient in the formula.
Standard perfume uses denatured ethanol at 80-90%. For markets with alcohol restrictions (halal markets), we develop alcohol-free formats using DPG or other carriers - the fragrance character changes, so testing is essential. Every formula goes through stability testing (temperature, light, long-term) before we fill.
Custom perfume starts at 5,000 pieces per SKU with stock bottles, or 3,000 pieces with our ready-stock packaging. Lead time is typically 25-35 days after formula confirmation, including stability, filling, capping, labelling and cartoning.
